After 18 hours labour, drugs and a near total epidural, my little girl gave birth by Caesarian section to her new son, Owen Andrew (ahem), this afternoon.

He's a handsome and quiet little fellow, and at 8lbs 2 oz, I think he would have stung on the way out.
I took all day off work, because she hoped I would be around to give her partner and their daughter

a lift to the hospital (her friend Rach was the birth partner), so that was a waste of time, brightened only by the arrival of a pack of LP inner sleeves, for fitting to my battered vinyl collection. Anyway, we all went in this evening to say hello.

A beautiful baby, who bears a strong resemblence to his mum and his big sister.
