I got to the station in plenty of time for my train home tonight. "s'funny" I thought, "there's people waiting on the down platform. They should have gone by now so the train can get to the end of the line and come back and pick me up". So I sat down for a long wait. Which was quite pleasant, as the sun was out, the shitehawks were feasting on flying ants and my station has been newly cleared of graffiti. The next train down didnt arrive on time either, and I was just about to give up and catch the bus, when it arrived a good 20 minutes late. "Good. Another 20 minutes and it'll be back", I thought. Obviously it was going to be quite busy, taking happy tourists back to their caravans at Dawlish Warren, as well as us hard working commuters. It arrived, and yes it was busy. The entrances were already full. We squeezed on (I let a guy go before me), but I had to give up and try another door. As I did, the guard decided to close the doors, despite the fact that several people were still on the platform. And he wasnt going to open them again any time soon. Just like he wasnt going to ask people to move down to make space (and there was plenty of space in the middle of the two carriages). Bastard. That was an hour and a half waiting on the platform. So I called my taxi and Mellie came to pick me up in her MG, top down, cruising into the sunset.
So to cheer me up, here are some views from where I sit at my computer: during the day with the sea on the horizon.

Last weekend's full moon:

And a reminder that I need to clean out the fridge

Ewwwww! I never have anything like that in my fridge. Nope. Never. Ever. Well, not often anyway! ;)
OMG, that’s disgusting! If that was in my fridge, I would have to disinfect the fridge after throwing the tin out! Yuck.
Love the other photos and story though :-)
I used to hate waiting for late trains going to and from Worcester college when I was 17.
How on earth did that can stay for so long in your fridge? Eww :]
You're not a bachelor, y'know. You're simply not entitled to have things that may be classified as 'dirty'.
Dust is no longer your friend.
What's all the fuss about...hadn't reached the top and crawled out yet!
