Fear and Relief

Good things:
My daughter sold me a flatscreen monitor for a silly price (she got it from a neighbour and probably didnt cost her the 40 squid it cost me) which is good for my in-desk experience;
Made the first moves in subbing out a large part of my job responsibilities;
M returned the £500 I lent her to get her over her selling-her-house hiatus;
the Boy is happily ensconsed in Caracas;
M is happy to discuss a joint bank account and ready to go ahead with it (like we were married already: it has only taken 9 years to build her confidence)
And I saw and heard a Raven at Livermead, Torquay. Bizarre but true. I didnt know they were thriving so much.

Bad Things:
Boss is leaving;
Colleague is leaving;
I have no idea how to do whatever it is they do;
I may get promoted above my abilities;
I may have to replace boss at arguing with Councillors;
I am shy and fearful beyond the bounds of possibility;
End of fixed rate has driven my very old and formerly cheap mortgage up to 700 of your English pounds;

That's life innit? and dad will aid me when things are really dark

Oh, and people ALWAYS get promoted beyond their abilities.
The word BROWN comes to mind.

You are not your boss and you are not your colleague; Casey Jones, steamin' an a rollin' et bloody cetera.
