Strike II

Second day of the strike, and Unison have the brainwave of having a sandcastle competition on the beach at Paignton: if you turn up and sign the register, you get a voucher for an ice cream, and then walk to the end of the prom where everyone is cajoled onto the beach to make a sandcastle or somesuch.

We joined a group who were making a sculpture of a cow (no, I don't know, either)

which I named Elizabeth in honour of the Chief Executive (I haven't forgotten her put down when I challenged her about reorganisation (again!) some months ago).

The sun was shining so I couldnt make out a thing on the back of the camera (oh, for an old fashioned viewfinder) so one shows the front of and the other shows the back, complete with seaweed cowpat. And we were on the telly
Whether building sandcastles will achieve anything I dont know but it was fun. Another good turn-out, considering the teechers and the GMB aren't on strike.
Then I went to the allotment again.
