As previously related, I volunteered to put up a poster for our MP the other day. He came around when my son was in. He let him in, showed him the cellar access to the back garden and made him rig his own banner (respect to son). We now have a huge LibDem banner (at least 12 sq feet) at the back, which shows across the railway to the main road and the Co-op. The check-out girl at the Co-op had seen it and identified us when we didnt need a car park voucher (she was well sharp, and we were shamed when she unexpectedly talked politics and discussed her forthcoming degree).
Not my party particularly, but I know the guy, he always responds to my emithers , and in reality it is either him or the Posh Boy rep who will get in, so it might as well be the LD poster. The Communists haven't offered me such a poster, unfortunately.Son is incidentally exploring how to be a councillor: he had a meeting today with a local councillor. Community politics, Venezuelan style, is his agenda, but he needs to graduate and get a job first.
