Vete al Carajo*

I have seen at first hand the social progress that President Chavez and the PSUV have brought to the people of Venezuela. Very much like Cuba and its 50 years of struggle with US sanctions, the government provide free healthcare and education to people that have traditionally been deprived of those things. They therefore suffer because there IS an alternative to capitalism which the local "superpower" (note the Monroe Doctrine) cannot abide. Socialism can work, once the rich are democratically over-ruled, corruption conquered, and all within the rule of law. It's not perfect, and the poor are still poor, but at least there are free schools, universities and doctors which is investing in the future.
No wonder the President feels strongly about his Bolivarian neighbour, Colombia, with its threatening US bases and threats of US sponsored coups d'etat in Venezuela. So what he says to President Ulribe of Colombia is funny, in an undiplomatic sort of way.
We could do with a bit more of Hugo Chavez over here
*Go fuck yourself. Approximately
