The Student Prince

My son came back home from Southampton for a couple of days this week. Here's some weirdness:
Did he bring some washing or expect me to do any? No.
Did he need money? No
Either that illustrates his total lack of confidence in my parenting skills, or he has become a thoroughly autonomous young man, after taking himself around the world, and lived a year in Venezuela.
Obviously, when I offered to pay his train fare, and to buy him some new underwear, he didn't demur (I, like him, wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth). Also, he took the new jar of marmite. But that was it. And he talked to M (who's not his mother) last night, all the things he didnt have time to tell me. Seems like Kimberly is coming over from VZ.
Seems like I have brought up a good kid. Quite by accident, obviously.

Your son has been abducted and replaced by aliens.

Not by accident - it doesn't work like that.
