The Fog on the Teign

Once M has sold her house, and now the children have left home (mostly), we are considering getting somewhere smaller together. After all, why do two people need a four bedroomed house, with a huge cellar, when we could get somewhere smaller and cheaper with a decent garden? We'd sort of like to move to the home counties where our families reside. There are still pockets of cheap housing within 50 miles of London (I'd heard Milton Keynes is nice;-). But if we moved there, it's our friends (and my daughter and her children) that would be 200 miles away instead. Perhaps it's better that family are kept at a safe distance. After all, we would miss the view from our back window.
