Advice II

FGS falling in the 3rd time is just useless. No help this time and I thought I was in Davey Jones' Locker (the water is very green when under it). Spent entire weekend drying stuff out, but have sworn to wear a lifejacket when on own, have discovered the trip source (18" high railing cable on front bow upon which toe of shoe catches, I normally step off at the stern, where there is no fence/railing), and has purchased an extendable ladder for said front bow. Also decided not to keep train tickets, wallet or phone about person when on board. Prat.
However, I still weep everyday over Melanie. How long does grief over a broken heart last? Where is she? Not dead but gone.

Men are good at falling in. David did it loads of times.
It's because they won't listen to what others tell them.
You seem to be getting the hang of it now though.
You'll stop weeping over Mel when you realise that it doesn't help.
You don't actually need anyone. You're perfectly self sufficient.
When you've convinced yourself of that, somebody wonderful will come along, just when you're not expecting it.
Do try to keep dry, Andy.
