Rest in Peace

David, my old friend is dead. Found by his sister, slumped in the hall. The autopsy will find out the cause, and far be it for me to hazard a guess. Artist, poet, pundit, father of two, Alex and Melissa, bad husband to Caroline, partner of Cathy, and long suffering Marion. Enemy of Network Rail and all neighbours, and Tesco on Brooklands. Lover of Nick Drake, John Martyn, Robert Plant, Ian Anderson, Sandy Denny. Also canal lover and all things plant-like. Former policeman, experienced the Brixton riots, then Amex. Surbiton Grammar Skool.Seeker after Justice, at all times.
RIP, my friend. I am sorry I wasn't nearer to you. There, but for the grace of god, go I.

Tears are flowing. He was a wonderful poet, artist and pundit. I will never forget how much he made me laugh during troubling times. Rest in peace sweet David.

Im not sure arse photos existed before Henners did they? And Im pretty sure the 'gallery' was indeed started by that silly chap and Mally playing silly buggers while painting the Charlotte-Rose. Im never seen bottoms as entertainment! Tammy x

Thanks for ringing, Andy. I know you are suffering his loss more than many of us.

It took a moment or more to sink in and I still can't believe it! I'll miss that moment, before I clicked on to his blog, of anticipation/dread of what I might read! He was a great friend and I wish I'd met him more than just the once.

Let's hope you don't lead a coverup enquiry into his death otherwise it'll be a whitewash like Dr Kelly's demise.
