Dilemma

Me: I want to give up work and volunteer for something, like Sea Shepherd, or something to help refugees. Or we could live on a canal boat and do something with that?
Mel: of course, honey. You can do that.
Me: would you do it with me?
Mel: No
Me: oh, Will you find someone else then?
Mel: No, obviously not

What am I going to do?
Oh and an irrelevant photo of a XcormorantX Shag

Life is short.
Frighteningly short.
You have to do whatever you want most, while you can.
Trouty.

How about living super-frugally (as you would have to get used to) while working for another 12 months and throwing everything into savings.

Then go for it?

You have to do what you have to do.

Shag. Apparently. Make of that what you will.

Not being privy to your current financial status, I am at a loss to know how to advise you! The canal boat sounds good, but not without Mel! I think Stu's suggestion is a sound one. Your head seems to me to be screwed on proper, so I'm sure you'll make the right decision. All the best.
