I have been offered an
Alfa Romeo Spider
(sorry about the crappy image) for £1800. It's in good nick, bigger than the MG and very pretty. M is reluctant to lose the MG even though advised by the garage to get rid. The Alfa is P, the MG is S but increasingly expensive and we dont need two cars. I am also considering bidding for
Plugged in Places with Plymouth and Devon so the Spiderreally doesn't go with my green credentials. Should I ignore the Spider? Any ideas?

Buy it and a 1975 Diesel Landrover for yourself so you can go caching off-road.
Waaay too unreliable.
I know very little about cars but surely if MG is falling apart its worse for the environment?
Personally if buying Spidey allows you to go from 2 to 1 cars in the house thats green?
If you're worried about it why not offset some of your carbon emissions? carpool or something a couple of days a week???
Car pool? I carshare in and train back. Cant do much more than that!
Thanks for the advice, Rich, the MG is bad enough!
