A True Christmas Story

One Christmas, many years ago, a group of council workers went on their Christmas lunch. They were a varied group, as the department they worked for had many responsibilities: from harbours to transport to communications to planning and so on.
After a few drinks, one gentleman, with maritime connections, decided he would hit on all the women present until he found one who had consumed enough alcohol to succumb to his salty charms. Having been spurned numerous times during the afternoon's festivities, as a last resort, he started on the one woman present known to be the female equivalent of a friend of Dorothy.
One thing led to another, the evening drew in, venues changed etc but finally, the gentleman scored, bigtime, in the alleyway outside. So much so that events were recorded on the venue's CCTV, leading to a complaint to the pair's employers, one of whom at least was on company time.
Strong words were uttered the next day, among them being "It was the dick in the dyke in the dock"
