Moron Alert!

For a couple of weeks, some of my USB devices have ceased to talk to the computer. The USB hub is on (tucked away under the monitor, green lights on etc), the software is updated, but I have been unable to download photos or update my GPS.
As a consequence, I have had my daughter's partner reformat my PC (made more urgent, as I installed Windows updates which decided I had an illegal copy of Windows, and therefore acted like a virus on my PC, leaving undeletable messages appearing all the time (Bill, mate, you have enough money, if my family can load an acceptable copy of Windows, why should I give you another 95 quid?, and basically, I have other people maintain my PC for favours). I also purchased a driver updater off the internet, for not a small amount of money, to see if my USB drivers had died and which appeared not to work (they responded to my emither very quickly, bless them), and have redownloaded drivers for PC and GPS several times.
And what with bothering Omally about my GPS not uploading stuff and emithering Garmin as a result.
So I got back to basics tonight, after reloading all the stuff that had disappeared due to the reformatting, and scrabbling around under my desk with a torch, saw that the only USB plugged into the back of the box fed the newly functioning webcam, and nothing else.
Obviously a desk troll had removed the USB that connected the USB hub to the back of the computer and hidden it under my new hat leaving the power lead in to fool me that the USB hub was functioning. D'oh! When this happened, I do not know, but now the camera and GPS are fully connected to the intramaweb and I am somewhat happier. And here is a picture of a witch

and her brother

Hahahahahaha!

Mate, don't worry. I dealt with FAR worse customers when I was at Gramin. :)
