Anyway, the allotment: we have raspberries

potatoes by the score,

broad beans (edible despite the bastard blackfly) and the maize is pathetic.
The lettuces were brilliant,along with the onions ,
and the runners still to come.
A damn sight better than last year, when circumstances lead to poor attendance. It is not much better this year, but the margin was enough to extract some crops. Potatoes stored for the winter, broad beans in the freezer, gooseberries and raspberries equals jam, and the rest to come. Constant weeding. Bindweed and that little purple bastard that looks like clover to start with are not my friendPlus a suppurating blister still going strong 3 days after my last visit.

Seriously though, good work on the lotty! Still wish I had an allotment. Maybe I'll put myself on the waiting list at the local plot.
