Old Printer:
Grrrrrrr Whirrrrr Clunk eeeee awwwwwwwww Clunk
Grrrrrrr Whirrrrr Clunk eeeee awwwwwwwww Clunk
*sound of paper mangling
Clunk
Red light

New printer:
Whirr Print

And it's small and cuddly (especially cuddly). Jointly installed by M and I and paid for from our brand new joint bank account (which is like being married, with added financial trust).
HP LJ P1005
Good one

It's lovely when an IT plan comes together - well done! Oh, and damn your pics of the Moon, Venus and Jupiter - my astrothingummy wasn't set up and by the time I'd attached all the lenses to the digital SLR, clouds had obscured it - bah!

If you use Firefox there is a nice application called Aardvark. If you are printing a page from the internet, it lets you remove the rubbish you don't want to print.

Whirr print...indeed...until the time comes to replace the ink cartridges and you realise it'd be cheaper to buy a new printer...all manufacturers own-brand ink cartridges (and sadly nowdays, most of the clones) are a complete and utter rip-off...Take my tip - find yourself a branch of Cartridge World and live free! Merry Christmas!

just buy the refill kits online. I haven't paid for a new cartridge in years.
