Well of course I'm going to respond. I ought not because I suspect that you're beginning to seriously thrive on your misery (albeit subconsciously) ergo responding will only encourage you.

However, I do hope this helps:

You didn't lose your house, you sold it. BIG difference check your bank balance if you want a reminder.

You didn't get prosecuted for assault, your friends saw to that. The baddies tried and failed. THEY failed, you didn't.

Here's something that may help, perhaps it's just one of those obvious things that anyone can see but can so easily be missed:
Have you tried listing the bad points before listing the good points?
Same input but the net result is infinitely more pleasing.

Please give it a try? Or at the very least try thinking like an engineer: the glass is neither half-full or half-empty, it is exactly twice as big as it needs to be :)

If the glass is half empty the bottle is half full. :)

And I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.

Look here, life can be shit...oh in fact it is shit - look at Syria if you can't be bothered to look any further. It is shit. Humanbeings are shit...sometimes...often...so why do you need them ? Well because sometimes, often, they are absolutely bloomin fantastic and you love them and they love you and we are social creatures, especially a man like you. You need somebody to spend your time with, to love, to bother about, to buy trinkets for and to make love to...so you do. However, at this moment there seems not to be anybody suitable to fulfil your needs so...how about reading a book - lose yourself in Thomas Hardy if you like...oh and do take the advice of Mr Omally because he does seem very sensible and well-adjusted to this contrary, trying, sometimes b-awful life and...he cares for you. Do you care for him ? Do you give him a call now and again ? If not, do so and...tell him you are really grateful that he cares for you so much.....yeh you should be...grateful. I like Mr Omally.
And, while I'm, here...why don't you do some volunteering like Mrs Trouty suggests. For goodness sake just do it....volunteer...seems Mrs Trouty cares too....you are such a lucky boy....are you healthy ? Can you breathe ? Can you walk ? Can you talk ? Can you think straight ? You can !!! Well. there you go...what a lucky man...with some money in the bank too !!! Be careful to share it with the right people. A bunch of flowers, a box of chocolates...a little something you picked up from the charity shop...nice pressies for wonderful friends. And oh, don't forget to note how the world keeps turning and how the sun keeps slowly rising and shining on you....and why not bother yourself to write a proper blog ? Some of us are really interested in your trips - especially your trip to Cuba...why not make an effort and enlighten us...can't you be bothered ? Bother yourself do...we would like to know how it went....and for when you are bored and sad and lonely...here's a thing - work out how many days are in 70 years and check how many days you've got left to enjoy yourself and entertain us....okay, I'm tired now.

Well said. I like roses and anything related to chocklit!

And if all the above is just too much to take in, just remember this......
If your children are healthy and happy, you have EVERYTHING.
