Breaking into a sweat

Mellie has recently started a social activity once a week. This evening, her intended partner was unable to go with her, so I foolishly volunteered to help out. After an hour of 1-2-3---5-6-7--, 1-2-3---5-6-7--, and 1-2-3-hook-5-6-7-- etc, I feel hot and sweaty and tired. I am not sure clumsily tangling my feet about while clinging onto young (mainly foreign) women is the coolest thing I have ever done. She'll have to pay for me to go next time. Or may be not.

One of my daughters is into thisIrish Dancing - take it from me you want to avoid that - it seems largely to be very rapidly repeated 1-2-3s - and you can't even rely on the old arms for balance...far too energetic...

I've established a carefully calculated regimen of elbow and upper arm exercises, which, together with a degree of accompanying epiglottal lubrication, suit me fine!

No, but I might be learning to crotchet...if I can spare the time from my boozing...

Clinging onto young foreign women seems to me to be a small price to pay for helping Mellie out.
