My Boy has left home, again.

My son left today, after a summer at home with his girlfriend from Venezuela. He is studying Law in London, she is returning to South America. He left here with a new laptop that arrived this morning, she left with $900 (donated by me, Mel, and Mel's sister) to compensate for missing work all summer. In return, not only have Mel and I enjoyed the most companiable summer with them, but we got a message this morning from Justin involving "incredibly kind and extraordinarily generous" and "life lesson", and from Kim "the better summer of my life" (her english isn't perfick). Well, I think we were just pleased to spend time in their company and my son is turning into a delightful young man. He even treats me with respect and humour. Last we all played darts at the pub, and as Justin knocked us out one by one, he got "chalked" on his new fleece 3 times. Didnt bat an eyelid.

Heart warming. Just like a good homemade soup!
I think your son sounds smashing and his girlfriend is very lucky.
