Teddy Retires

After 50 years, M has decided that Teddy must take retirement. During his long life he has been much repaired. He has experienced a lot, much of it shameful, including being stuffed in bags and aeroplane holds, and witnessing embarrassing (for a teddy) bedroom moments, let alone having to put up with children of many ages. He is wearing only his second set of clothes (Leicester City top), having formerly worn a red and white striped top. His brother lives happily in Cambridgeshire with my sister.
Teddy must now be content with sitting on the armchair (which he will share with Gonk, and Car-share Cow (from the office)).
His replacement is elephant, who although of a similar age, has tougher (knitted) skin, has led a more sheltered life, and besides, everyone knows elephants live longer

Embarrassing bedroom moments happen to the best of us, apparently.
